Happy Birthday America...Is there liberty and justice for all?

Happy Birthday America!!!

I wonder if many people think of July 4th as lighting off fireworks and eating hotdogs.  When I was a kid and recited the Pledge of Allegiance: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Are we one nation?

Indivisible, are we united?

Is there liberty and justice for all?

Those are only questions that each person can answer.  Most of the answers will be different.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal…”  America was a baby when that was written, now it's time for Her to pull up her big girl panties and follow through with those promises.  We all need to grow up and start adulting.

I’ve seen a lot of changes take place in my sixty plus years and I expect more to come. Covid is still in it’s first wave, I hope to see those changes. We live in interesting times.

Hope Everyone is have a great weekend.  The beaches and bars are closed here. We are at home, social distancing of course. Even if the Covid cases weren't off the charts here, we are in hot fried hell season. It's the typical hot Texan July.
