Random Moments of Delight Challenge...Photography...the snowapocalypse

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've got no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!!

Now did I take the advice, no.  I ran out to get a few photos, couldn’t help it. The small town, Danville that we live in is so charming. It’s one of the reasons why to moved here from Austin, Texas.    I’ve been reading about the snow alert for the past several days and have been dreading it.  It’s not so much the 10+ inches of snow or tomorrow’s sub-zero temps, it’s being trapped inside the house.   Mmm…if we didn’t have the weather, I wouldn’t be trapped in the house.

There’s a simple joy in photography for me.  It enables me to capture a small slice of time or maybe history would be a better term. So instead of me rambling on and on...I'll just show you.  One picture equates to a thousand words...

The timing of my escape took place early in the day, before noon.  Now we are under a Red travel emergency means it is illegal to drive except for emergency personnel, emergency purposes or those who are seeking shelter. The last time this area was under a travel warning was during the 1978 blizzard.

This blog post is part of a blog hop hosted by Meghan, a fabulous artist!!!  Stop in to her blog, it's worth a read.  The Random Moments of Delight Challenge is more of a single moment but...well, photography makes me happy.

Stay warm...stay safe...good luck with the cabin fever!
