Spring Has Arrived...AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f2.8G

Spring has finally arrived in Indiana.  The buds are coming out, the sky is bright blue, and it's GREEN.  That's the good stuff.  Now the bad stuff, my eyes are puffy, my nose is dripping, and my allergies are kicking.  It's a trade off.

I've been waiting for a couple of weeks to really test out a new lens.  It's a AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f2.8G.  Most other companies call it a macro, Nikon is different with micro.  It's a stellar lens!!!!  It's the reason why I decided on Nikon instead of Cannon.

It's auto focus, which helps a lot considering how close I am to my subject.  It's light weight and that makes a difference to me since I use a hand strap. Great shots in low light and without a flash.

This lens lacks a VR (vibration reduction), which I'm used to but...so far, so good.  I'm just getting used to the lens so time will tell.

These are my firsts...there will be more later...

Hope you are enjoying the spring weather!
