Project 52...adventures in digital mixed media & Corel Painter
First try at Corel Painter |
Second try at Corel Painter |
Old school or digital, I’m still in the whimsical mode. That’s OK, I’m finding that digital is a
medium that is worth the time and effort to teach myself. The above is part of my ‘Project 52’
challenge.
On a side note…I’m in the mist of testing paper for printing my work. That has turned into a major undertaking. I’m starting out with all archival but there’s 100’s of paper types….from glossy to luster to rag and the list goes on and on.
How my paper testing started is because a couple of
months ago, I sent off some work to be printed.
Sure they did a great job but…it took weeks. Then after I received the
work, I wished I would have had it printed on a luster instead of a matte. So it was printer research…I decided with an
Epson Artisan 1430. The ‘ink’ is dye based and Epson’s Claria Hi-Definition ‘inks’
are smudge, scratch, and water resistance. It’s also a wide format for larger work. Epson’s prints are also fabulous for my
photography.
